WE GAVE WHISKY ITS OWN BAR

After the first year of being open on the first and second floor, we thought it was a bit of a shame to have a completely empty third floor. The room itself almost begged to be turned into a cosy connoisseurs cave, but what would we put in it..? Whisky was the first, the only and the right choice! With a proud and long history, whisky spans continents and cultures like few other spirits – it really wasn’t a hard choice. We began transforming the empty space into the cosy, warm and dimly lit bar it is now, and at the same time expanding our collection of the golden nectar to fill our cabinets. The whisky bar was ready to open its doors in the fall 2013 and since then, more and more of our lovely guests , seek out the pleasant company of whisky.

The staff in our whisky bar will guide you from the moment you reach the entrance, please just wait for someone to seat you, as we are determined that all of our guests partaking in whisky drinking, has a place to sit. Once comfortably in you seat you will be guided confidently through our selection of whisky based cocktails and our ever changing selection of 140+ whiskies. Should you be longing for a few tall tales about whisky, this is definitely the place to get them! In the words of Mark Twain:

“Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.”

The whisky hideout in the attic

Atop the steep staircase we’ve tried to create a whisky lovers wet dream. Here you can sit back in the vintage leather sofas with a view of the open fireplace, and enjoy a cocktail or a dram from of our BIG! range of whiskys from all over the world. The whisky bar is open Fridays and Saturdays and can also host private tastings and events on all days of the week. We can comfortably seat 30 guests in the area, and from your seat you have the pleasant view of the bar and our cabinets filled with our 140+ whiskys. This is definitely where you want to be on a cold dark night. Sláinte!
